Over the last couple of months I have been working with St Margaret’s Hospice with planning a new route for their annual charity cycle “The Great Somerset Cycle” and I am pleased to say they have given the all clear on the route I have planned for them!

The route/s had to start either at their Yeovil or Taunton HQ’s and to be around 40 miles in each direction. So with that in mind I tried to give riders a challenge with a few hills and give them something to look at along the way. The route depending on where the rider starts and if they ride the total distance will take them over the Blackdown Hills, the Somerset levels and towards the Quantocks.

This is the first time I have planned a route other than The Wrong Way Back routes I plan and it has been an honour and privilege to do this for St Margaret’s Hospice.

In February I will be riding the route starting at the Yeovil HQ of St Margaret’s Hospice and riding the complete 80 miles. If you wish to join me please let me know.
